ハノイを拠点に活動するアーティスト、グエン・コック・タインをゲストプログラマーに迎え、日本語字幕付き、ベトナムの映像２作品を日本初上映！あわせてタインさんとQ & Aを開催。
『LOVE MAN LOVE WOMAN』

主人公は、熟達した霊媒師（シャーマン・祈祷師）として名高いルー・ノック・ドゥック。その姿を通し、同性愛嫌悪の根強いベトナム社会でゲイ男性やフェミニンな男性がどのように民間信仰の聖母道（Đạo Mẫu）を憩いの場としてきたかを捉えるドキュメンタリー。中国の道教とアニミズム両方の要素をもつ聖母道は昨年１２月にユネスコの無形文化遺産に登録され現在注目されている。グエン・チン・ティ（Nguyễn Trinh Thi）の作品は、日本では山形ドキュメンタリー映画祭2011で特別賞を受賞した『柔らかな河、鉄の橋』（編集）、他に福岡アジア美術トリエンナーレや恵比寿映像祭でも紹介された。ベトナムの歴史や記憶をキーワードに、映画だけではなくインスタレーション作品も手がける。ハノイにあるメディアセンターDoc Labの創設者・ディレクターとしてもよく知られている。
『赤いマニキュアの男』

フランス・ロワール川沿い。記憶を失った状態で目覚めたフィルムメーカーが、サバイブする術と自らの正体を探る姿を描いた実験的な物語。劇中、文字や記号もビジュアル的に映し出され、土地、文化、言語や性の境界線がぼやけ始める。主人公を演じる監督ツン・ミン・クイは1990年生まれ、ベトナム中部のバンメトート育ち。映画学校を退学し、短編映像を制作しながら独自のスタイルを追求してきた。2016年には釜山国際映画祭で初長編作品を発表し、今後の活躍がさらに注目される。
ゲスト プログラマー：グエン・コック・タインは、写真からパフォーマンスまで幅広いメディアで表現するアーティスト。ポーランドのワルシャワ大学で修士号を所得。ハノイでアーティスト集団Nhà Sàn Collectiveに所属し活動する傍ら、Queer Forever!というクィアアートフェスティバルを2013年より開催し、検閲の厳しいベトナムで国内外の作品を紹介しトークイベントなども催している。2014年には日本国際パフォーマンスアートフェスティバル（ニパフ）で来日し東京、長野、宮崎でパフォーマンス作品を発表。今回はニパフに参加し、東京、大阪、長野でパフォーマンスを行い、本イベントに参加してくれた。

＊ LOVE MAN LOVE WOMAN by Nguyen Trinh Thi

Through Master Luu Ngoc Duc, one of the most prominent spirit mediums in Hanoi, and his vibrant community, the film explores how effeminate and gay men in homophobic Vietnam have traditionally found community and expression in the country’s popular Mother Goddess Religion, Đạo Mẫu.
Nguyễn Trinh Thi is a Hanoi-based independent filmmaker and media artist. Her diverse practice has consistently investigated the role of memory in the necessary unveiling of hidden, displaced or misinterpreted histories. Her works have been shown at festivals and art exhibitions including Jeu de Paume, Paris; CAPC Bordeaux; the Lyon Biennale; Asian Art Biennial Taiwan; Fukuoka Asian Art Triennial; Singapore Biennale; Jakarta Biennale; Rotterdam IFF; and Oberhausen. Nguyen is founder and director of Hanoi DOCLAB, an independent center for documentary film and the moving image art in Hanoi since 2009.
＊ A MAN WITH RED NAILS by Trương Minh Quý

A man (played by the artist himself) wakes up by the Loire river and realizes that he is now unable to remember anything: who is he? Why is he here? He wanders around a strange city to find food and water. The most obvious identification trait of him is his red nails. “The Man With The Red Nails” is a hypothesis about the way how individual’s memory is built up: how come a strange thing becomes a familiar one? Trương Minh Quý was born in 1990 in Buon Ma Thuot, a small city in the central highlands of Vietnam. In 2008 he entered film directing class at the Cinema and Theatre University in Ho Chi Minh City. After one year, he decided to quit the school to pursuit his independent filmmaking path. In 2012, he was a fellow of AFA (Asian Film Academy, Busan International Film Festival). In 2016, he attended Berlinale Talents (Berlin International Film Festival).
＊ Guest Programmer: Nguyễn Quốc Thành is a Hanoi based artist. His practice includes photography, writing, performance art, installation, clothes making and organizing queer art events. He is a founding member of Nhà Sàn Collective, an independent contemporary art collective. In 2013 he founded Queer Forever! Vietnam’s first queer art festival. Queer Forever! is a platform for sharing the love for and knowledge of queerness in Vietnamese culture. Screening to be followed by discussion with him.
